The last 10 years have been the hardest years of my life. Truly, it has been one not-so-great thing after another. Personal and professional challenges, mistakes made, I questioned myself constantly, and at times I felt lost in nearly every area of my life. More than once, I found myself asking, What the hell are you doing? and Is this really it? Life looked very different from what I thought it would. But more importantly, it didn’t feel right.
One question kept coming up: Am I living life true to who I really am, and who I want to become moving forward?
For a long time, the answer has been no. Not even close. And if I’m being honest, I stayed in that place longer than I should have. I had been asking myself those questions, but I wasn’t really doing anything with the answers. Deep down, I knew something needed to change. That’s where the idea for Living Life True began.
For me, Living Life True is about being honest with yourself about where you are, what no longer fits, and what kind of life you actually want to build. It’s about paying attention to the things you keep pushing aside, the feelings you keep trying to ignore, and the quiet voice telling you something isn’t aligned.
It’s also about action. Not an overnight transformation and not pretending to have everything figured out. Just taking steady steps toward a life that feels more true to who you are.
The more I reflected, the more I realized I’m not the only person asking these questions. So many people are quietly reevaluating their lives, relationships, priorities, careers, definitions of success, and who they want to be moving forward. So many of us are realizing that the life we built, or the version of ourselves we’ve been holding onto, may no longer fit.
That’s what Living Life True is really about. Not perfection, not having all the answers, and not magically reinventing yourself overnight. It’s about creating space for honest conversations, reflection, storytelling, and the realities of growing, changing, and figuring life out in real time.
Life and success mean something completely different to me now than they once did. It’s not starting over – I don’t need to start over. It’s about recalibrating and paying close attention to how my life feels. It’s learning to move differently with more clarity, intention, and a deeper understanding of what matters most.
My goal is to build a platform and tell stories that build connection while making people feel seen and understood. I think that’s all most of us want. To feel like someone else gets us while we navigate this life and become who we are meant to be.
If any of this resonates with you, I hope you’ll join the conversation. Whether you choose to share your story or simply spend time here reading, listening, and reflecting, I’m glad you’re here.
